Following is a list of our ultracapacitor product datasheets.
Please note that these datasheets were current as of August 2004. The latest
version of the datasheets are always available on our web site at www.maxwell.com For
larger product photos, please click on the image.
These datasheets are in Adobe PDF format. To view them you
will need the free Adobe Reader software installed on your computer.
If you do not have it installed currently, you can download the correct version here.
To see which ultracapacitors might fit into your applications, you can use our Ultracapacitor Modeling Tool. It requires that you have Microsoft Excel present on your computer and that you select "Yes" when asked if you want macros to run.

Kit - Datasheet | User
Guide
The POWERCACHE® PC48 Modules are
high reliability short-term energy storage devices used to provide
48 VDC bridge power. They provide primary 48 VDC power during
the start-up or transfer to generators, micro-turbines, fuel
cells or other alternative primary or back-up energy sources.
They incorporate a DC-to-DC boost converter that will reduce
the slope of the ultracapacitor discharge to mimic a typical
lead acid battery slope.

Small Cell Ultracapacitors
PC5
With a capacitance of 5 farads at 2.5 volts,
and weighing only 4 grams in a 14 x 23.6 x 4.8 mm package, Maxwell's
UL recognized PC5 ultracapacitor is ideal for consumer electronics,
wireless transmission, medical devices, automatic meter readers,
and many other applications requiring a pulse of energy that cannot
be efficiently provided by a battery or power supply alone.
|
|
PC5-5
Storing 23 Joules at 5 volts, and weighing
only 8 grams in a 19 x 24 x 9.5 mm package, Maxwell's UL recognized
PC5-5 ultracapacitor is ideal for consumer electronics, wireless transmission,
medical devices, automatic meter readers, and many other applications requiring
a pulse of energy that cannot be efficiently provided by a battery or power supply
alone. It is also suitable for automotive subsystem applications, such as those
used for power locks and windows.

Large Cell Ultracapacitors
PC100E
Measuring 34 x 64 x 17mm, the PC100E caches
approximately 300 Joules of energy at a nominal 2.5 volts for high-powered
discharges ranging from fractions of a second to one minute. The
PC100E is packaged in a durable, lightweight, hermetically sealed
stainless steel prismatic encasement. Its small size and pulsed
power capacity can decrease the weight and cost of batteries in
devices requiring bursts of power.

 |
PC2500
The PC2500 is a 2700 farad ultracapacitor
that caches 8400 Joules of energy at a nominal voltage of 2.5V.
Measuring 161 x 62 x 61.5 mm, the device is ideal for industrial, UPS, hybrid
electric vehicle, and fuel cell applications, or for any other application requiring
pulse power, high cycle reliability, and/or low maintenance.
