The SCS750A offers the most powerful solution available; capable of high end computer and complex data processing for satellite applications. Using IBM's PowerPC 750FX as its foundation has allowed the SCS750A to achieve performance of up to 1800 MIPS, consuming a mere 20 watts of power. Designed from the ground up to be utilized specifically in a space environment, Maxwell has developed the most advanced radiation mitigation techniques-including Triple Modular Redundancy and Reed-Solomon advanced error correction-to achieve upset rates of 1 every 300 years. In addition, the SCS75A0 benefits from the PowerPC 750's inherent radiation tolerance as a result of being fabricated on a Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) substrate. Lastly, because the SCS750A has been designed using a commercial processor architecture, upgrades will be seamless to the end-user and will allow Maxwell to continue to provide single board computers to the space marketplace with unparalleled performance, reliability and radiation hardness.
